FAQ for <interact> 2016

Who can participate?

 

Our symposium invites all Master students, PhDs and Postdocs in Munich. However, students from all over Germany are warmly welcomed to join.
How many people can participate at <interact> 2016?

 

The number of participants is limited to 250 persons for the main event
and to 130 people for the pre-event.
Is there a registration fee and how much is it?

 

The normal prize for registration is 19 €. This includes the pre-event, main event and after-party. Early birds can save 4 € until the 01.08.2016. (Register here)
How do I get to the symposium?

 

The pre-event will take place at the Schloss Fürstenried and the main event will take place at Tagungszentrum Kolpinghaus. Click here to get more information. 
 
When can I check in?
 
You can check in at the pre-event or at the main event in the morning. Please come early to avoid queue!
 
Where can I find information about posters and talks?

Is food provided during the symposium?

 

We will serve snacks at the pre-event after the talk. Furthermore you will have lunch and dinner on the main event. Additionally, there will be coffee breaks during the day.

Registration, poster and talk.

Do I have to submit my abstract during registration?

​

No, you can submit your abstract anytime until 23.09.16. Only when you submit your abstract you have to choose if you want to present a poster or apply for a talk or both.

 

 

 

How can I submit my abstract?

 

After you registered via ConfTool, you have to register as an <interact> Munich 2016 participant.

Then you can click on "Your Submissions" to submit your abstract.

Don't forget: If you submit your abstract and present your work, you don't have to pay the conference fee.

Do I have to submit an abstract, if I want to present a poster?

 

Yes, you also have to submit an abstract for the booklet. The maximal number of characters for an abstract for a poster or a talk are 1500.

 

 

When is the deadline for abstract submission?

Extended deadline for abstract submission is the 23.09.2016

Are there prizes for the best posters and speakers?

 

Yes, both the best posters and the best speakers selected by the participants, will be awarded with prizes like tablets and digital cameras

Can I attend without giving a poster or a talk?

 

Yes, you can, but don't miss this great opportunity to present your work to your peers and extend your network.

 

What size should my poster be?

 

Poster size must DIN A0 portrait format (height: 118.9 cm, width: 84.1 cm) for your posters.

How long should my talk be? 

 

The student talks will be 15 minutes plus 5 minutes questions.

 

 

When should I set up my poster?

​

The best time to set up your poster is between 8:00 and 8:45 just after checking in. We will provide sticky tape to mount your poster.
